Explanations... or Excuses...

Ok sooooo i have NOT posted anything since the playoffs started as promised... I'm not sure if anyone really reads this, and with school and work getting over my head i have not had the time to sit down and write a post worthy enough to be read by people. So i am sorry, for those of you who read this...
However please keep up with The Sidney Crosby Show and The Pens Blog... two VERY worthy blogs of your attention!!!

One last note...

Pens Update:

Ok ok so i have been a royal shit with not updating this in just about FOREVER!!! So for that i apologize profusly!!! Since i last updated they won games, and lost games... basically all coming down to this... Atlantic Division Champs & 2nd in the Conference... putting us playing the Senators in the quarterfinals! Ok soooo at first glance you go "Oh shit not them again"... as many of you remember we played the Senators last year and the wiped the floor with us. Well you BEST believe this will NOT happen this year... we are a faaaar better (and more experienced) team!!! I say bring em on... lets see how they feel when they get demolished this year!!!

Playoffs start this wednesday and mark my word i WILL be updating this nightly.

Pens Update:
Penguins/Devils (W 7-1)

OH MY GOD what a game!!! Thankfully i was able to come to campus and get online and watch the entire thing!!! Soooo much happened in this game enough cant be saved... so i'll break it down by period into short little summaries!!! Man gotta love these guys... bring on the playoffs... and bring back Crosby... we'll be one HELL of a team!!!

Period 1

-Ruutu got the first goal a minute and 30 seconds in... well ok he shot it at the net, and some Devil put it in for us... but hell we'll take another Backstrom-esk play! (Pens 1-0)

-The Devils make a wicked play and manage to shake Flower up a bit... if only they knew it would be their only goal of the night! (Tie 1-1)

-Solid back and forth play...

Period 2

-Fleury was solid!

-Conks became a 3rd commentator... LOVED that... it was great to here him talking through the game... love me some Conks!

-Defense looked good... we need to find some way to hold onto Dupuis after this season... this guy has great potential as a Pen (he's already scored 7 times since joining the team)

-Malone (who has been a beast lately) scored his first goal of the night off an absolutely gorgeous pass from Dupuis(Pens 2-1)

*Flower was solid tonight*

Period 3
-This is when it gets INTENSE!!!
-The Pens came out absolutely on fire... someone grab the extinguisher
-3 minutes in Malone gets his 2nd goal of the night off assists from Gonch and Hossa (Pens 3-1)
-Less than 2 minutes later Dupuis gets his own goal... woooo (Pens 4-1)
-Its between this goal and the next when my heart (and im sure every Pens') STOPPED... Malkin gets creamed near the boards and goes down... he continues to grimace in pain and not get up... he then slowly gets up and goes to the bench where he seems to be ok and guestures he got the wind knocked out of him... everyone can breath again!
-About 4 minutes goes by, and Malkin is back on the nice up to his usual ways... and then it happens... POINT # 100... Malkin scores (Pens 5-1)... Congrats on 100 to our Russian King!!!
-3 minutes later Malkin makes it point # 101 with another goal off a pass from Sykora (Pens 6-1)
-7 minutes later Malkin makes it point # 102 with a beautiful assist to Sykora's goal (Pens 7-1)
-GAME!!!

*Gotta love that smile... celebrating #100*

Holy crap what a game... lets see what we can do tomorrow boys... i say... another 7-1 win... why not?!?!

Pens Update:

Penguins/Lightning (W 4-2)

Woohoo here we go... down the stretch... every game from here on in is uber important!!! I say... lets win them all!!! And if anything... atleast the ones vs the Devils... which starts tonight... bring it on!!!

The win against the Lightning was huge... we need every 2 points we can get... good job guys. Loved to see my man Malkin getting some points (too bad Ovechkin is on fire right now... he needs to be taken down)! These guys really know when to step up, and i think everyone realizes just how important this is now. I'm thinking we have a very good shot at staying in the playoffs... but now i say we should win the division... the Devils deff dont need to! We are gonna be once hell of a team to beat come playoff time... we have everything it takes to go far right now! Soooo now all we can say is LETS GO PENS... into the home stretch!!!

Devils tonight... this should be one hell of a game!!!

Ps: you KNOW Ruutu's amazing down-ice soccer moves from the game were AMAZING!!!
